Let a family membership owner manage who books

The member who bought the family membership can add and manage the family members who book with them, from the web portal and the app, without waiting on your staff.

What it does

Every family membership has a roster, the people who can book using that plan. Until now only your staff could edit it. Now the owner manages it themselves, and the roster feeds the exact same booking rules you already set, so nothing about how bookings work changes.

  • Add an adult by email, or add a child from the kids they have already set up
  • Who can book follows your family booking mode: just the primary, adults only, or everyone
  • Your plan's family size limit still applies
  • Available on the web member portal and in the app

Nobody is added without consent

Adding a person is never silent. If the email already has an account, we email that person to approve joining the family before anything changes. If it is a new email, we create the account and send a set-password link, so they choose their own password. Children are added only from the kids the owner has already set up, using the parental consent you already collect, never captured here.

Fair-use guardrails

Self-serve does not mean a loophole. Guardrails stop someone from rotating strangers through a single seat to hand out free booking, while never getting in the way of a real family.

  • A seat holds for a while before it can be removed
  • The number of roster changes per year is capped
  • A person just removed from one family cannot immediately jump to another
  • Removing someone frees their spot right away and never touches bookings they already made

Your staff can still manage any roster from the member's page, with no limits, exactly as before.

Availability

Available on any plan that offers a family membership tier. Owners see a Family Members page in their account on the web and the app; members without a family membership never see it.
