Book a Court for Your Whole Family
A parent could sign their kids up for open play, but not put them on a court booking. They booked the court, then sorted the rest out at the front desk.
The problem this solves
A court seat had always been its own payer. So a parent who wanted to bring two children either booked for themselves and explained the rest at the desk, or your staff added the children by hand afterwards and hoped the money followed. A child with no login of their own could end up holding a seat nobody could pay for.
How it works now
On the Booking Summary, under their own seat, the member ticks whoever they manage. A line appears for each person with that person's price, and the total updates as they tick.
- Every person is priced on the membership they hold, not the parent's
- A child on your family tier gets that tier's court rate; a child with no membership pays your non-member rate
- Nobody is made free who would not otherwise be, and the parent's own benefit is not copied across
- The total shown before they confirm is the number their card is charged
- One confirmation, one charge, however many people they brought
If your courts have a minimum
Each person the parent brings fills one of the empty spots, so the minimum they are covering drops as they add people. The copy on screen says which spots are theirs and which are still empty, rather than quoting a figure with no explanation.
Adding someone after they have booked
They can also add a person later, from that booking's own page under My Bookings. The picker shows each person's price before they tap, and says whether the card is charged now or at your club's normal charge time.
- On a club that charges at the time of booking, adding later charges the saved card for just that person
- If the card declines, nobody is added and they are told, rather than being left with a balance nobody asked them for
- On a club that charges later, it simply joins what that booking will collect
What your staff see
The added people appear on the roster like any other player and check in normally. They are never asked to pay at the desk, because the money is already on the parent. Comping or adjusting a seat works the way it always has.
One thing to know about your public booking link
A member has to be signed in for us to know who they manage. Your public booking link has nobody signed in, so the family picker cannot appear there. If you want members using this, point them at their member portal.
Getting it
Nothing to set up. It works on the web portal, the embedded booking widget, and the mobile app, on any club using per-person court pricing.
