Legal Documents

Sign the real document, not a retyped copy

Upload your membership agreement or release exactly as your attorney wrote it — and let members sign that exact PDF, with a verifiable audit trail.

What it does

A real legal agreement is a formatted document — numbered clauses, sub-sections like 3.1.b.1, hanging indents, bold headings. A lightweight web editor can't hold that. So now you can upload the actual document as a PDF instead. Members see the exact, formatted document embedded on the sign page — and in the app — and sign that, not a flattened re-type. (Have a Word file? Export it to PDF in one click — File → Save as PDF — and upload that.)

Prefer to write a simple waiver right in the editor? Nothing changes — the upload is just a second option on the same screen.

How it works

  • In Settings → Legal Documents → New, choose Upload document and drop a PDF.
  • You see a live preview of the finished document before you publish.
  • Members see the real formatted PDF embedded on the public sign page, the intake widget, at registration, and in the app.
  • They sign with the same contract-grade audit metadata as every waiver — who, when, from where.
  • The signed record pins a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file they agreed to, so the record is verifiable forever.

Built to be trustworthy

A document that isn't ready yet can't be signed — the signature is fail-closed. Re-uploading a new version changes the fingerprint, so anyone who already signed is prompted to re-sign the current document. Uploads are PDF, capped at 25 MB, and your confidential contract is never sent to an outside service.
