Put a membership on hold, fairly
Members can pause for travel, an injury, or any reason, without losing their plan or their price. Nobody pays for time they cannot use, and no money ever moves just to pause.
What it does
A pause is a date shift, not a refund. While a membership is paused, benefits are off and billing freezes. When it resumes, every future charge and the membership end date move forward by exactly the number of days paused. Over the life of the membership, the member pays only for the time they were active, and your revenue is unchanged, just shifted later.
- Benefits pause and billing freezes for the paused stretch
- On resume, the next charge and the end date shift forward by the days paused
- No charge, no refund, ever: only the dates move
- The member keeps their exact plan and price through the whole pause
You set the rules
Turn Membership Pause on for your club from Settings, and decide whether members can pause themselves or only your staff can. Set how much pause time members get: a yearly total and a limit per single pause, configured separately for monthly and annual members. The caps apply to member self-pause only. Your staff can always pause any member from their page for medical or other reasons, with no cap.
Clear for the member
A paused member sees a "Your membership is paused" banner everywhere they would normally use a benefit, with their resume date. One tap on "Tap to unpause" brings their benefits back instantly, and it stops the clock the moment they tap, so only the days actually paused count against their allowance. Members who set a resume date come back automatically on that date, no action needed.
