Ask registrants anything you need
Run a league where everyone gets a shirt and you needed their sizes, and there was nowhere to ask.
The problem this solves
Registration collected a name, a division and a payment. Anything else your event needed, a shirt size, a dietary note, an emergency contact, had to be gathered some other way: a spreadsheet, a group chat, or a staffer asking people at the desk. By the time you needed the answers, they were in three places or none.
Write the question once
Go to Programs, Registration questions and create one. Pick how it gets answered: free text, yes or no, or a list of choices you define. Then add it to whichever leagues and tournaments should ask it.
It is one club library, so T-shirt size is written once and used on every event for the rest of the year. Each event decides for itself whether the question is required there, so the same question can be optional on your social ladder and required on the tournament that hands out shirts.
The answers arrive with the registration
Players answer while they register, on your public event pages, in the member portal, and in the app. Nothing has to be chased afterwards.
- Answers show under each person on the participants list
- One column per question in the participants CSV, for leagues and tournaments alike
- Ready to hand straight to whoever is ordering the shirts
Editing a question never rewrites history
Rename T-shirt size to Shirt size (unisex) halfway through the season and everyone who already answered still shows the wording they actually saw. An export you took last month still means what it said.
Retiring a question works the same way. Archive it and it stops being asked, while every answer already given stays visible and still exports, and you can bring it back whenever you want. A question that has answers is never destroyed.
The small things
- A list question will not save without choices, so nobody is shown an empty dropdown
- A formula typed into a free-text answer cannot execute when you open the CSV
- Staff who can view your events read the answers; only staff who manage events change what is asked
- Searching for what you actually want, "shirt sizes" or "dietary" or "emergency contact", finds it
It is a club setting you turn on when you are ready, and it changes nothing until you do. Available on every plan that runs leagues or tournaments.
